Advice

- Who is affected: GovCMS Drupal 10 (D10) community using the GovCMS Scaffold and Docker Desktop.
- GovCMS is updating the GovCMS Scaffold to docker compose version 2 (v2)
- If you use Docker Desktop you may need to update your version of Docker Desktop to support and use compose version 2. There is more information on migrating to Compose v2 at https://docs.docker.com/compose/migrate/.
- If you use Docker without Docker Desktop you should not be impacted by this change. You should however, review your Docker and compose version.
- If you use a different container engine locally you should not be impacted by this change.
- There is no deployment to your site as part of the scaffold update.
- This scaffold update will only update the Master environment. You can re-base your lower environments after the update.
- If you have any concerns, raise a ticket at https://www.govcms.support

Scheduled plan

Commence from 6pm (AEST) on Wednesday 17 July 2024.
Once completed, status page will be updated. Expected completion by 6am on Thursday 18 July 2024.

Troubleshooting

- To note, the docker-compose command is changed to docker compose in compose v2.
- Issue with buildkit – If you receive an error “cli Warning pull access denied for , repository does not exist or may require 'docker login': denied: requested access to the resource is denied”. You can fix this issue via disabling buildkit in the terminal with export DOCKER_BUILDKIT=0 before running ahoy up.
