Scheduled
The latest GovCMS Drupal 8 (D8) distribution update has been released. Deployment to all GovCMS D8 SaaS sites is scheduled for Monday 7 September 2020 from 6pm and running through to 8am the following morning.

No outages are expected to websites during the deployment process.

What is included in the update?

This release contains:
* a Drupal core update
* a theme update
* four module updates

Drupal core update

The GovCMS D8 update upgrades the Drupal core from 8.9.2 to 8.9.3
See: https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/releases/8.9.3

Theme update

This update allows themes to alter widgets. This allows a site builder to tweak the UX of paragraph forms. For example:
- altering a field based on the value of another field.
- adding a description to a field depending on the context that the paragraph is being used.

See: https://github.com/govCMS/govCMS8/pull/404

Module updates

The following modules have been updated, listed in alphabetical order:
* Key from 1.12 to 1.14
* Menu_block from 1.5 to 1.6
* Real_aes from 2.2 to 2.3
* Shield from 1.2 to 1.4

What must my organisation do now?

PaaS customers should review the detailed information about this update. You may need to apply updates.
SaaS customers don't need to perform any actions as part of the deployment, but do need to check their websites after the deployment to ensure there aren't any issues.
